La agroindustria rural es una realidad económica y social en Nicaragua que necesita apoyo para su consolidación y fortalecimiento. A su vez, puede convertirse en un mecanismo efectivo que contribuya al desarrollo rural y en un medio eficaz para contribuir a disminuir los índices de pobreza y aumentar los niveles de calidad de vida de los pobladores rurales.</span></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: medium; mso-ansi-language: ES-NI;">China es uno de los mayores mercados mundiales para productos agro-industriales. Sus importaciones de productos agroindustriales han aumentado de 20 mil millones a más de 120 mil millones de dólares anuales entre 2001 y el 2012.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: ES-NI;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Con el alza del nivel de vida de su enorme población, se espera una mayor demanda por productos de calidad generados con conciencia de la salud y el medio ambiente. China es hoy por hoy uno de los principales países importadores de alimentos y su mercado es considerado como el más dinámico y prometedor para productos agroindustriales</span>.</span></p> <p><span style="color: windowtext; font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: medium; mso-ansi-language: ES-NI; mso-fareast-language: EN-US;">El PNUD, UNOPS y Devnet International estamos en este momento implementando un Plan de Iniciación (PI) con el objetivo de desarrollar un Programa en el sector agroindustrial basado en la expansión de la demanda China de productos agrícolas sostenibles y el vasto potencial de Nicaragua.
